## Real Analysis via Sequences and Series | Charles Little | Springer

In mathematics , a sequence is an enumerated collection of objects in which repetitions are allowed. Like a set , it contains members also called elements , or terms. The number of elements possibly infinite is called the length of the sequence. Unlike a set, the same elements can appear multiple times at different positions in a sequence, and order matters. Formally, a sequence can be defined as a function whose domain is either the set of the natural numbers for infinite sequences or the set of the first n natural numbers for a sequence of finite length n.

It seems that you're in Germany. We have a dedicated site for Germany. This text gives a rigorous treatment of the foundations of calculus. In contrast to more traditional approaches, infinite sequences and series are placed at the forefront. The approach taken has not only the merit of simplicity, but students are well placed to understand and appreciate more sophisticated concepts in advanced mathematics. This is a well-written textbook with an abundance of worked examples and exercises that is intended for a first course in analysis with modest ambitions.

It seems that you're in Germany. We have a dedicated site for Germany. This book aims to dispel the mystery and fear experienced by students surrounding sequences, series, convergence, and their applications. The author, an accomplished female mathematician, achieves this by taking a problem solving approach, starting with fascinating problems and solving them step by step with clear explanations and illuminating diagrams. The reader will find the problems interesting, unusual, and fun, yet solved with the rigor expected in a competition.
