It only received an order for a total of 26 episodes before getting the axe. It will always remain a mystery why someone would cancel a show with awesomely named episodes such as "Fisting Fantasy," "See You Later, Masturbator," and "2 Girls, 1 Tongue. They learn about a book of pure evil that seemingly grants a person what they desire the most, but always ends up twisting it around until everything goes completely off the tracks, and, more often than not, someone ends up bleeding. The show will hook you within the first minute of the pilot episode. In it, you see a crowd of students chanting "jerkoff" while going the extra mile to mime it. Then could you pass me my blood mop? I'm gonna need it later.
Devil Dolls (DVD)
One of the earliest true crime books, it was about a convicted murderer who became a famed ornithologist behind bars. In , Truman Capote took a story about two killers in Kansas that slaughter a farm family of four, and made it into In Cold Blood , the kind of riveting work of narrative non-fiction every true crime author still aspires to write. It was Ann Rule, who recently died, that made true crime into a commercial literary genre, offering gals and guys like me an opportunity.
The series is based on the short film of the same title  written by Craig David Wallace and Max Reid, and directed by Wallace. Like the low-budget short film, the series uses supernatural elements, profanity , graphic violence, and non-sequitur lines. Sci-fi veteran David Winning directed four episodes. On April 4, , Space announced that they had renewed Todd and the Book of Pure Evil for a second season, with principal photography being set for spring After encountering a cursed magical tome with a mind of its own, the Book of Pure Evil, which grants the wishes of those who hold it in dark and sinister ways they didn't intend, they team up in an attempt to track down and destroy the Book, although it has an unfortunate tendency to fly away after its magical spells are undone. Each episode revolves around a student at Crowley High using the Book to try to make their life better, though this usually results in chaos, mayhem, and bloodshed at the school. Todd and his gang then fight against whatever the Book has done, and try to keep Crowley High from being totally destroyed.
Distributed by eOne Entertainment. Awareness of this series began last summer when FEARnet was finally getting their shit together and preparing to go back into television. They had a press release out that stated what they had lined up for their channel. I subsequently went to YouTube, found a trailer and was not even the slightest bit impressed. I think it was a Sunday morning. Figured, what the hell, and put the first few minutes on.
