As I write this, the Amazon Kindle chart is having a moment. But it is the book currently placed in 14th that is the most intriguing title within the top Wreckage by Emily Bleeker is being published by Amazon Publishing imprint Lake Union Publishing on 1st March and yet people are downloading it, reading it and reviewing it, today. A sort of reverse windowing that allows Amazon Publishing authors to build up pre-publishing activity around the title, while also making sales. For Wreckage it has worked well. You can only select one title each month for 99p.
So as the joy of Autumn feeds my soul I thought it would be a good time to try my hand at The Autumn Tag! I was tagged by the lovely Jenn from Jenniely and will try to remember to tag some more people below! I love rereading Heartstopper to give me a case of the warm and fuzzies. So this might sound like a weird one but when I go to a concert and the band plays my favourite song or a song that means a lot to me. Probably another unpopular opinion but The Last Jedi. I rewatch this film a lot just for the chemistry between those two, to be honest. And that fight scene.
This year I decided not to challenge myself to a certain number of books read as last year, I challenged myself to , and even though I made it, I found that I was just reading to make up my instead of enjoying the process of reading, pondering and then finding a new book to read. Sometimes I like to stay in the world of the characters that I have just left without launching straight into the covers of another book. But this post is meant to be about books I want not what I have read, I will do another post later on with some of my best reads for There were some goodies…. Rowling under the pen name of the fictitious author Newt Scamander about the magical creatures in the Harry Potter universe. The original version, illustrated by the author herself, purports to be Harry Potter 's copy of the textbook of the same name mentioned in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone or Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the US , the first novel of the Harry Potter series. It includes several notes inside it supposedly handwritten by Harry, Ron Weasley , and Hermione Granger , detailing their own experiences with some of the beasts described, and including in-jokes relating to the original series. In a interview with publisher Scholastic , Rowling stated that she chose the subject of magical creatures because it was a fun topic for which she had already developed a lot of information in earlier books. Rowling's name did not appear on the cover of the first edition, the work being credited under the pen name "Newt Scamander", who, in the books, wrote this textbook as seen on Harry's supply list for his first year.
