Town Team Baseball is a variety of amateur baseball played in the United States. In Town Team baseball, sometimes also called townball , the teams represent either a given city or town , or a commercial enterprise which sponsors the team. Usually a statewide governing body sets uniform rules for two or more classes, including proximity how close the player must live to the town for which he plays and other eligibility rules, pay or stipends for players and coaches, boundaries, and rules to prevent players from switching teams without reason. Such governing bodies may also coordinate annual statewide playoffs , facilitate communication between teams and leagues, and help to arrange for training and placement of umpires. The history of Town Team Baseball varies from state to state. In addition to the states included below, Townball is played in Iowa, Kansas, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. In some areas, it offers people the fun opportunity to be around baseball in its purest form.
For example, if a player whose tenth birthday would fall on April 30, then the player would be considered a ten-year-old. But, if his birthday would be May 1, then the player would be a league age of 9. Each local league should create a system of dividing players, so that the teams will be of equal size and talent. Each local league should structure their programs to best prepare for these tournaments. Players must have played half of the teams regularly scheduled games, unless injury keeps him from doing so. In this case, only players who were originally on the roster may compete.

Tournament Host Rules
Little League Baseball and Softball officially, Little League Baseball Inc  is a c 3 nonprofit organization   based in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania , United States , that organizes local youth baseball and softball leagues throughout the United States and the rest of the world. Founded by Carl Stotz , George Bebble, and Bert Bebble in as a three-team league in Williamsport, Pennsylvania , and formally incorporated on October 10, ,  Little League Baseball encourages local volunteers to organize and operate Little League programs that are annually chartered through Little League International. Each league can structure itself to best serve the children in the area in which the league operates.
At the District level, this should be someone other than the Tournament Director. After the District round, the Tournament Director must simply verify that each player has been approved to play. Protests will be resolved before play resumes. The committee shall consist of the Tournament Director and one coach or parent from each team involved, with input from the umpires. The team Manager cannot serve on the protest committee. All protests should be resolved in a peaceful and professional manner without having to call League Officials. Host site will provide all game balls needed to run a successful tournament.
